Job Summary

This person will deliver MathWorks product and application specific training to automotive customers in North America. Primary areas of instruction include numerical analysis, modeling and simulation, and code generation.

Responsibilities

The Training Engineer is responsible for providing product-training courses to users of MathWorks products, primarily in the automotive area. Specific activities include delivering courses on multiple products, researching industry and application-specific concepts to assist in the maintenance of course content, providing appropriate feedback to our sales organization, and maintaining relationship with automotive customers to secure training contracts. Travel is expected to average two weeks per month.

Qualifications Required / Preferred

  • M.S. or Ph.D. in Engineering required
  • 2 plus years engineering experience in the automotive industry.
  • Proficiency in C programming
  • Knowledge of MATLAB and Simulink or similar products as applied to engineering problems.
  • Knowledge of Physical Modeling tools such as SimScape, SimMechanics, and SimDriveline as applicable to various engineering problems.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform computational analysis, modeling and simulation tasks.
  • Demonstrated ability to generate code using automatic code generation tools similar to Embedded Coder.
  • Proficiency in delivering stand-up training for highly technical audiences.
  • US Citizenship required
