Job Summary

SharePoint is a key application platform used at MathWorks to communicate, manage content and automate processes utilizing workflows.  The Finance and Operations department is looking for a SharePoint Analyst to analyze requirements and implement small and medium SharePoint projects across all functional areas of the department.

Responsibilities

  • Evangelize the use of SharePoint across the department as the primary platform for collaboration and as a document repository
  • Provide troubleshooting support for SharePoint; differentiates functional issues from technical issues
  • Work directly with functional areas to define and scope SharePoint projects and document requirements
  • Develop SharePoint-based solutions using built-in features and workflow tools (no custom deployed code development)
  • Identify common themes and opportunities for consolidated efforts
  • Participate in evaluating third-party add-ons and web parts that could contribute to more efficient SharePoint-based solution development with less custom work
  • Transfer knowledge to key business contacts and cultivate SharePoint expertise within the Finance and Operations department
  • Develop, maintain, and deliver training to end users

Qualifications Required / Preferred

  • BS degree and 5+ years, or MS and equivalent experience
  • Experience in building and customizing SharePoint sites, workflows, lists, libraries, content types, security groups, and content policies
  • Experience working in SharePoint Designer
  • High-level understanding of software development and project management processes
