Job Summary

Do you have a passion for Simulation? We are seeking a proactive and dynamic individual to join our team to help promote and drive the future direction of Simulink. Simulink is the platform for Model-Based Design and supports a wide array of products that enable engineers to intuitively model, simulate, and test complex systems for control, signal processing and communications applications. You will join a team of product marketing managers focused on Simulink. This is your opportunity to leverage your experience of using Model-Based Design in the growing engineering community that uses Simulink. You will work with product development groups to help set the trends for simulation and embedded systems development in engineering and science worldwide.

Responsibilities

  • Help drive the development of new features partnering with engineering staff to prioritize, define, develop, position and launch new capabilities for Simulink
  • Use your Simulink domain experience to produce sales materials and collateral to drive awareness and adoption of new features and capabilities, including technical papers, demos, articles, and videos
  • Train the field organization in the new features of Simulink
  • Conduct customer presentations both large and small
  • Measure sales effectiveness for Simulink, initiate and develop plans to enhance penetration and growth
  • Plan and manage focused competitive analysis for Simulink and develop positioning and response
  • Conceptualize and develop worldwide marketing programs focused on Simulink
  • Work closely with sales teams in support of sales opportunities and major programs for Simulink
  • Work with key customers and thought leaders to clarify and define new product requirements
  • Identify new market opportunities for Simulink and proactively develop programs to pursue these

Qualifications Required / Preferred

The successful candidate must have a deep understanding of dynamic system simulation including a background in systems modeling and simulation. They must also possess the following:

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Solid quantitative ability
  • Strong overall marketing, research, and planning skills and
  • Excellent customer interaction skills

Requirements include a degree in Engineering, Computer Science or in a scientific field relevant to MATLAB or Simulink use, and at least 7+ years of professional experience (including 2+ years in marketing or technical sales).

Experience with Simulink or equivalent products is highly desirable. International experience is desired. Industry experience in aerospace, defense, automotive, industrial automation or related industries are also desired. MBA or equivalent experience preferred.
