Job Summary

Working under the direction of Engineering Senior Team Lead 4, will be responsible for identifying ways to improve the quality of our Windows offerings in the areas of integration with the desktop, startup performance, signal handling, threads, OS support, as well as others; improving quality of existing API's and improving the usability of MATLAB on Windows; working effectively across organizational boundaries, and utilizing skills to develop bulletproof foundation code; contributing to the ongoing development of the Platform Foundation library; and sharing Windows expertise with other teams.

Qualifications Required / Preferred

Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering or Telecommunications and five (5) years of experience in job offered or five (5) years of experience in developing graphics or simulation applications in C++ and Objective C.

OR

Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering or Telecommunications and one (1) year of experience in job offered or one (1) year of experience in developing graphics or simulation applications in C++ and Objective C.

Special Requirements:

  • Demonstrated expertise developing functional cross platform API’s using C++ and Objective C.
  • Demonstrated expertise developing API and GUI with Microsoft Windows API and Apple Cocoa frameworks using Visual Studio and Xcode for development and CDB, GDB, WinDBG, and LLDB for debugging.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Windows and Mac OS X system internals including writing unit test frameworks and performing automated testing with C++ and Objective C.
