User Interface Tools QE
Job Summary
The User Interface Tools Quality Engineer is responsible for developing automated test suites and conducting hands-on testing of the various components in our Simulink Studio IDE. As a member of the development team, the candidate will participate in a project from its early design stages and play a critical role in driving it to final product release. Candidate with creative problem solving skills will thrive in this position.
Responsibilities
Specific tasks will include: participation in feature definitions; investigating ways to further automate the testing of the User Interface; writing test suites and implementing testing APIs in MATLAB, C++, and JavaScript; and reporting bugs. As an individual contributor in the QE department, the candidate will work closely with the Development, Documentation and Usability teams.
Qualifications Required / Preferred
- MS or BS with 3 Years industry experience in Engineering, Computer Science or related fields.
- Programming experience in C++ or Java
- Knowledge of Object Oriented Design
- Programming experience in JavaScript
- Familiarity with MATLAB
- Familiarity with web application testing (e.g Selenium, Dojo)
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Exposure to Qt, HTML5, WebKit is a plus
