Job Summary

We are looking for a smart, creative and energetic Quality Engineer with expertise in testing modern web applications whose interest, curiosity and passion drives innovation and production quality to new levels. The Web Application Quality Engineer is responsible for developing test suites and conducting hands-on testing of our Simulink web technology product set. As a member of the Development team, the candidate will participate in the project from its early design stages and play a critical role in driving it to final product release. 

Responsibilities

  • Writing test suites using MATLAB and Selenium to test the functionality of the model simulation product set. 
  • Executing the interactive testing plans on UNIX and PC platforms. 
  • Reporting bugs detected in MATLAB, Simulink and other Toolboxes using an in-house bug tracking system.
  • As an individual contributor in the QE department, the candidate will work closely with the Simulink Development, QE, Documentation teams and occasionally with Technical Support.

Required Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree and 3 years of professional work experience, or a master's degree, or a PhD degree is required.

Preferred Qualifications

 

  • Proficient in web application development languages such as HTML5, JavaScript, CSS and SVG. 
  • Experience with Object-Oriented Programming. 
  • Programming experience in MATLAB. 
  • Ability to create and analyze large datasets. 
  • Proficiency with PC and UNIX environments. 
  • Experience with Simulink or Model Based Design software. 
  • Experience with GUI testing. 
  • Experience with Selenium. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Nice to Have:
  • Experience with Java, JQuery and Dojo is a plus. 
  • Experience with parallel computing, cluster and asynchronous web testing. 
  • Programming experience in a scripting language such as Perl or Python. 
  • Knowledge of industry standards, and methods of Software Development and Quality Engineering. 
  • Experience with large industry simulation models. 
  • Industry experience in Aerospace, Automotive, DSP or similar domains.
