Web Applications Developer
Job Summary
As a Web Applications Developer for our eProducts and Services team, you will utilize your web development experience to make improvements to internal and/or external web applications. You will be responsible for working with multiple business groups to gather requirements and create functional specs. In addition, you will be responsible for building applications, enhancing features and fixing bugs in our applications built in both Java and Ruby. This is an exciting, energetic team that values and encourages collaboration and creativity.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement changes to our web applications.
- Work with business areas to develop and gather requirements and functional specifications.
- Collaborate with Usability and designers to develop workflows and page designs.
- Work with Quality Engineers to ensure test cases and plans are appropriately developed and adhered to.
- Work with infrastructure team to insure our applications support high performance and availability.
Qualifications Required / Preferred
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent, Masters is a plus
- 3+ years experience developing MVC web applications in Java/Struts
- Experience with object-oriented JavaScript and its’ various flavors (AJAX, jQuery, extJS, etc.)
- Experience with HTML5, CSS3
- Knowledge of Software Development Methodologies, preferably Agile
- Asks good questions, communicates ideas clearly, takes direction well
- Experience gathering and writing Requirements and Functional Specifications, preferred
- Ability and desire to help drive the evolution of a web application!
