Autopilot Design Using Mu Analysis and Synthesis

This article illustrates the application of H-infinity loop-shaping to a missile autopilot. The H-infinity loop-shaping control design method can handle complex coupled systems and is supported by the Mu Analysis and Synthesis Toolbox. It is easy to pick up by engineers with a basic background in classical control.

The MATLAB Programming Contest
The Challenge
You work with the Genome Data Base and are closing in on the last few base pairs needed to complete the genome sequencing project. Your fellow researchers have managed to obtain several sets of segments needed to sequence the last remaining base pairs, but they need you to lead the sequencing effort. For each set of segments given, your job is to derive an algorithm to sequence them in the optimal order.
The Contest will be run March 20 - 24, 2000.
