Richard J. Gran

Richard J. Gran, Ph.D., joined The MathWorks in 1996 after spending 33 years at Grumman Corp. He was a member of the Grumman Guidance and Control group from 1962 to 1969 and, as such, participated in the Lunar Module control system design competition. Although Grumman lost this competition to MIT Instrumentation Laboratories, Gran went onfield assignment and became part of the digital autopilot design group at MIT IL from 1963 to 1966.
