The MathWorks Announces Global Presence at Texas Instruments Developer Conferences


The MathWorks to Deliver Invited Sponsor Presentation and Lead Workshops on Model-Based Design at U.S. and European Conferences


NATICK, Mass. - (24 Feb 2006)

The MathWorks today announced its global presence at the upcoming Texas Instruments Developer Conferences (TIDC).  Experts from The MathWorks will lead workshops and discuss papers on Model-Based Design in the U.S. and Europe, focusing on simulation, implementation, and verification of video, audio, and control applications.  At each conference in Europe and Israel, The MathWorks will also deliver an invited sponsor presentation, “Model-Based Design with Simulink® and TI DSPs,” which will discuss the benefits of Model-Based Design and the collaboration between The MathWorks and Texas Instruments (TI). 

TIDC takes place in multiple countries beginning in February 2006.  The conference series offers attendees a variety of interactive sessions and technical workshops that introduce new system solutions and platforms from Texas Instruments.  Speakers include TI and industry experts who are advancing the technology that will shape and enhance tomorrow’s applications.

At the North American TIDC, on February 28 – March 2, 2006, which will be held at the Hyatt Regency Dallas in Dallas, Texas, The MathWorks is a Silver-Level Sponsor and will be presenting the following papers: 

  • “Modeling De-Interlacing and De-Mosaicing Algorithms Using Simulink and Implementing on the TMS320DM642 Digital Media Processor,” Arvind Ananthan of The MathWorks, Wednesday, March 1 at 11:00 a.m. in Reunion B.
  • “From Simulink to TI DSPs: An Accelerated Approach to Implementation,” Mike Donovan of The MathWorks, Wednesday, March 1, at 4:00 p.m. in Reunion E.
  • “Implementation of a DSP Controller for a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor Using Model-Based Design, ” Zijad Galijasevic of The MathWorks, Thursday, March 2 at 11:15 a.m. in Reunion G.

TIDC will take place in locations across Europe, including France on March 28 – 29, the United Kingdom on March 30 – 31, and Germany on April 4–5. It will also convene in Israel on June 7 – 8.   The MathWorks is a Gold-Level Sponsor in all overseas locations, and will give an invited sponsor presentation at each event.      

  • The invited sponsor presentation, “Model-Based Design with Simulink and TI DSPs,” will be presented by Amnon Gai, Partner Marketing Manager at The MathWorks, on the first day of each conference at 9:45 a.m.
