Senior Volkswagen Engineering Director to Deliver Keynote Address at The MathWorks 2006 International Automotive Conference


More than 500 automotive engineers will meet at IAC 2006 to exchange ideas


NATICK, Mass. - (19 Apr 2006)

What:     The MathWorks International Automotive Conference (IAC), where more than 500 engineers from major automotive manufacturers and suppliers will exchange ideas on new technologies, workflows, and successful implementations of Model-Based Design with MATLAB® and Simulink®

Where/When:     The Cultural and Congress Centre Liederhalle in Stuttgart, Germany, May 16-17, 2006

The MathWorks International Automotive Conference will showcase the latest techniques for Model-Based Design in the development of production ECU software for powertrain, chassis, safety systems, body electronics, and infotainment controllers.

The keynote address, “Managing the Complexity of E/E Architectures,” will be delivered by Volkswagen’s Dr. Thomas Scharnhorst, director of E/E Architectures and Concepts, and managing director of Carmeq GmbH.

The agenda will include presentations and case studies from leading automotive companies. MathWorks engineers and partners will also present the latest products based on MATLAB, Simulink, and Real-Time Workshop®. Major producers and suppliers, such as Bosch, Daimler Chrysler, Jaguar Cars, Mercedes Benz, Renault, and Toyota will take part in the conference.

MathWorks automotive experts will present on topics such as:

  • The latest enhancements to MATLAB and Simulink
  • Advanced ECU code generation technologies and popular production deployment workflows
  • The newest addition to the physical modeling product set
  • Verification, validation, and test solutions

Attendees will have an opportunity for open discussion with MathWorks senior systems developers. They can also learn more about MathWorks products by attending Master Class sessions.  The conference will end at an evening event with dinner and entertainment.
