Photo finish! Starting at 8:29AM on the last day of the contest, vincent's "chkIntMap" dominated the field all day. At exactly 5PM, Paulo Uribe, aka "fer", submitted "dm1" and became our Overall Contest Winner. A fraction of a second later, his entry would have missed the deadline. Already a member of the Hall of Fame, you may remember him from such contests as Trucking, Molecule, Surveyor, and Binpack.

Gerrymander Contest
For the eighth MATLAB programming contest, you are given the task of preparing for an upcoming election in the state of Rectanglia. As the director of redistricting, your job is to divide the state into N districts of equal population. For more information, refer to the rules page.
NOTE: Based on feedback from previous contests, we have divided this contest into three segments. Most of the week will run as usual, with free sharing of code. But the first two days of the contest will hide some of the information about each entry.
