Per Rutquist is our overall MATLAB Golf Champion. He came away with two first place finishes and two second place finishes. We'll send him a MATLAB Jacket.

All holes: frequencies, palindrome, encryption, infection, heaviest, pathfinder, and snake.

Palindrome

Given the variable a in the current workspace, find the longest palindromic subsequence b. a is char array row vector of lower case letters. So when

a = 'xkayakyy';

you should return

b = 'kayak';

Each matrix will have exactly one palindrome longer than all others.
