Simulink Support for Xilinx FPGA DSP Kits
Xilinx® FPGA DSP kits from Avnet® provide complete packages of design software and development boards for rapidly implementing MATLAB® and Simulink® models on ready-to-use FPGA development boards equipped with the latest FPGAs from Xilinx. Xilinx FPGA DSP kits feature Virtex-6 and Spartan-6 FPGAs optimized for implementation of signal processing and video/image processing designs.
Xilinx FPGA DSP kits include System Generator for DSP, the Xilinx high-level tool for designing DSP systems. System Generator lets you model DSP algorithms in MATLAB and Simulink, generate HDL code using a device-optimized blockset, and verify FPGA designs for Xilinx devices, all from within Simulink. To help you get started, the kits include ready-to-use FPGA reference designs provided in the form of Simulink models and synthesizable HDL. The Virtex-6 and Spartan-6 kits include a WCDMA Digital Up-Converter/Digital Down-Converter reference design, and the TI OMAP/Spartan-6 FPGA Co-Processing Kit includes a video router reference design.
Xilinx FPGA DSP Kits Available
Xilinx offers three FPGA DSP kits to meet different application needs:
- Virtex®-6 FPGA DSP Development Kit with High-Speed Analog, featuring the ML605 Development Board equipped with XC6VLX240T FPGA
- Spartan®-6 FPGA DSP Development Kit, featuring the Xilinx LX150T Development Board equipped with XC6SLX150T FPGA
- TI OMAP/Spartan-6 FPGA Co-Processing Kit, featuring the Spartan-6 LX45T FPGA coprocessing base board equipped with one LogicPD OMAP-L138 SOM-M1 module
Each kit includes all necessary Xilinx hardware and software as well as trial access to MathWorks products.
