TI C2000 Support from Embedded Coder

Generate code optimized for C2000 MCU.

MATLAB Coder™, Simulink Coder™, and Embedded Coder® generate ANSI/ISO C/C++ code that can be compiled and executed on Texas Instruments™ (TI) C2000 microcontrollers using Code Composer Studio IDE. Embedded Coder lets you easily configure the code generated from MATLAB® and Simulink® algorithms to control software interfaces, optimize execution performance, and minimize memory consumption.

Embedded Coder provides additional support for the TI C2000 family of microcontrollers listed below that includes automated build and execution, processor-optimized code including DMC and IQMath libraries, and the ability to perform processor-in-the-loop (PIL) tests with execution profiling. Block libraries for on-chip and on-board peripherals such as ADC, digital I/O, ePWM, CCP, I2C, and more. A demo featuring support for CLA is also provided.

TI C2000 Concerto™ F28M3x 32-bit microcontrollers (MCU), based on dual core of combining an ARM® Corte®-M3™ core with a TI C2000’s C28x, is available as a separate support package download.

Deployment support includes using bare-board and C2000 supported real time operating system (RTOS), as well as fully built-in solutions for popular motor control and power conversion kits. Embedded Coder's TI C2000 provides getting started examples for these kits including a PMSM FOC motor control example and a 300kHz DC/DC buck converter example.

To learn more about the specific processors and evaluation boards supported for each MathWorks release, examine the settings in the Target Hardware Resources section of the Code Generation Configuration Parameters provided with Embedded Coder.

You can also use Embedded Coder to create your own TI processor-specific customizations using published APIs and reference examples. For example, you can generate processor-specific (non- ANSI) optimized code. MathWorks Consulting Services is available to assist with these customizations.
