It is common to do two things before starting an acquisition
— set properties and preview the image. The
opens a live preview window after you create a
other type of acquisition object.
You can set object-specific properties or device-specific properties to control the acquisition. For more information, see Configuring Image Acquisition Object Properties.
Note: The functionality for all supported hardware is now available via the Support Package Installer. Starting with R2014a, each adaptor is available separately through the Support Package Installer, and you must install the appropriate support packages to use the toolbox with your hardware. You can view the incoming video stream without actually acquiring data.
Modify characteristics of the acquisition using properties of the image acquisition objects.

The GigE Vision and GenICam GenTL interfaces offer advanced property support.
The tool allows you to set acquisition parameters directly in the desktop using the Acquisition Parameters tabs. You can set frames per trigger, color space, Region of Interest, device-specific properties, memory and disk logging, and triggering options.
