gmultiply

Generalized multiplication

Syntax

gmultiply(a,b)

Description

This function generalizes matrix multiplication to the multiplication of cell arrays of matrices combined in an element-wise fashion.

gmultiply(a,b) takes two matrices or cell arrays, and multiplies them in an element-wise manner.

Examples

Here matrix and cell array values are added.

gmultiply([1 2 3; 4 5 6],[10;20])
gmultiply({1 2; 3 4},{1 3; 5 2})
gmultiply({1 2 3 4},{10;20;30})
