Access solutions and their gradients at the mesh nodes or interpolate them to arbitrary points within the domain. Visualize solutions and gradients by creating surface, contour, and arrow (quiver) plots with or without mesh display. For command-line plotting, see Plot 2-D Solutions and Their Gradients and Plot 3-D Solutions and Their Gradients.
For 2-D PDEs, you also can use the PDE app. The app lets you plot three different solution properties at the same time, using color, height, and vector field plots. You can create plots in the app itself or in separate figures. See Plot the Solution in the PDE App.
You also can create an animated movie of the solution. See Wave Equation.
Visualize a 2-D PDE solution and its gradient at nodal and arbitrary locations.
Visualize a 3-D PDE solution and its gradient at nodal and arbitrary locations.

Interactively plot the solution of a 2-D PDE or other physical properties calculated using the solution.
