Hydraulic Circuit with Spring-Loaded Accumulator

This example shows an accumulator with preload pressure at 5e5 Pa that is installed between a check valve and a variable orifice. The orifice is practically closed at the beginning, which allows the accumulator to be charged to 9.67e5 Pa. The pressure source is switched from 10e5 to 5e5 Pa at 3 s, but the accumulator still maintains high pressure in the portion of the system separated by the check valve. The accumulator discharges some fluid after the orifice is opened at 5 s, but pressure returns to its previous value after the orifice is closed and pressure source is reset to 10e5 Pa.
