Intermodulation Analysis of Equivalent Baseband Amplifier

This model shows how to perform intermodulation analysis of an amplifier using the General Amplifier block from the SimRF™ Equivalent Baseband library. The parameters of the General Amplifier block are specified in an S2D data file, default.s2d. The data file contains the S-parameters of an amplifier at frequencies ranging from 1.0 GHz to 2.9 GHz. It also contains power-dependent S21 data at 2.1 GHz.

The following figure shows the equivalent baseband spectrum of the output signal of the amplifier over the frequency range 1.9 GHz (-200 MHz) to 2.3 GHz (200 MHz). You can see the intermodulation generated by the amplifier's nonlinearity.
