Class: categorical

Subscripted assignment for categorical array

The nominal and ordinal array data types might be removed in a future release. To represent ordered and unordered discrete, nonnumeric data, use the MATLAB® categorical data type instead.

Syntax

A = subsasgn(A,S,B)

Description

A = subsasgn(A,S,B) is called for the syntax A(I) = B, or A.I = B when A is an object. S is a structure array with the following fields.

typeString containing '()', '{}', or '.' specifying the subscript type.
subsCell array or string containing the actual subscripts.
