Description

The FIFO Read RCV Level driver block reads the current number of CAN messages stored in the receive FIFO. The receive FIFO can store up to 127 events (messages). If it is full and a FIFO Read driver block does not attempt to read the stored events, new incoming events are lost. This is reflected by increments to the lost message counter. You can use this driver block to check for this condition and take action (for example, like stopping the execution or resetting the receive FIFO).

The block has a single output port of type double, returning a scalar value containing the current receive FIFO level (number of messages to be processed).

Block Parameters

Board

Defines the board to access to read the current receive FIFO level. For more information about the meaning of the board number, see the Setup driver block. If just one board is present in the target system, select board number 1.

Sample time

Defines the sample time at which the FIFO Read RCV Level driver block is executed during a real-time application run.
