Why do I get Java Exception errors when printing a report through the Simulink Report Generator 1.3 (R13)?

I generated a report and then selected Print from the File pull down menu and got the following error:
java.lang.NullPointerException
at
com.mathworks.mlwidgets.html.PrinterJob2$PrintProcJava2.run(PrinterJob2.java:56) at java.lang.Thread.run(Unknown Source)

This bug has been fixed for Release 14 (R14). For previous releases, read below for any possible workarounds:
This is a bug in the Simulink Report Generator 1.3 (R13).
As a workaround, click anywhere in the right pane of the generated report before printing.
