I would like to know where the PolySpace license files are found post installation. I would like to know what the license files are generally called.

The license file location for PolySpace varies based upon several factors:

- Whether you are on a Windows or Unix operating system

- Whether Release of Polyspace you are using is older or newer than R2010a

- If you are looking for a Designated Computer or Network Concurrent license file

See the information below for the license file locations:

NOTE: On Windows operating system %POLYSPACE_COMMON% in the information below refers to the installation folder for 'PolySpace_Common' sub-folder. $POLYSPACE_COMMON refers to UNIX operating system.

The default for %POLYSPACE_COMMON% is:

C:\PolySpace\PolySpace_Common\

The default for $POLYSPACE_COMMON is:

/usr/local/PolySpace/PolySpace_Common/

PolySpace R2010a and Newer:

Designated Computer

=================

By default, the license file location is licenses folder for all platforms. The license file naming convention will be: license_<hostname>_<license #>_<Polyspace version>.lic.

Windows: C:\PolySpace\PolySpace_Common\licenses\

Unix: /usr/local/PolySpace/PolySpace_Common/licenses/

Network Concurrent License Server

=================

The License Server's license file has no default location since the license manager files are copied manually from the DVD. The examples we provide in our installation guide are as follows:

Windows: C:\Polyspace\FLEXlm\

Unix: /usr/local/PolySpace/FLEXnet/

Network Concurrent PolySpace Installations

=================

For Network Concurrent PolySpace installatons, the license file location is in the licenses folder for all platforms. The license file name will be license.lic or license.dat in this case.

Windows: C:\PolySpace\PolySpace_Common\licenses\

Unix: /usr/local/PolySpace/PolySpace_Common/licenses/

Trials

==============

The location of the license file is dependent on whether this is a Network or Designated Computer trial license (see above). For a Designated Computer trial, the license file will be called {demo|trial}_<trial #>_<Polyspace version>.lic.

Differences for R2009b and Older

==============

For PolySpace installations prior to R2010a, the license file is found in the etc folder inside of the PolySpace installation directory (instead of the licenses folder).

Windows: %POLYSPACE_COMMON%\etc

Unix: $POLYSPACE_COMMON/etc

In general, the default license file is license.dat or license.lic for a full license and demo.lic for a trial.
