How can I connect to a National Instruments DataSocket Server from MATLAB using the Data Acquisition Toolbox 2.1 (R2007a)?

The ability to communicate with a National Instrument's DataSocket Server is not available in MATLAB.
To work around this issue, use a UDP connection from MATLAB to LabView.
