Why does the Delete key not have an effect in the Signal Builder block interface in Simulink 6.1 (R14SP1)?

I am using Simulink on a Windows machine that has been set to use the Japanese locale. When I press the Delete key within the Signal Builder block, I am unable to delete corner points from the signal. The Delete key appears to have no effect in the Signal Builder block GUI.

This bug has been fixed in Release 14 Service Pack 3 (R14SP3). For previous product releases, read below for any possible workarounds:

We have verified that there is a bug in Simulink 6.1 (R14SP1) that affects the way the Signal Builder interface handles the Delete key on Windows operating systems with Japanese localization.

There are currently no known workarounds.
