Can MATLAB be used to communicate with instruments interfaced to a MIL-STD-1553 Mux Bus?

MATLAB does not provide any MIL-STD-1553 specific capabilities; however, if the device also provides a serial interface MATLAB could communicate with it.
Note that the applications based on the Instrument Control Toolbox are for soft real-time applications. For "hard" real-time, you would have to consider some of our other Real-time and hardware target products.
