Why does MATLAB crash using KDE 3.1.2 windows manager on RedHat 9?
I am using RedHat Linux 9 using KDE 3.1.2. When I press the Enter key in the MATLAB Command Window, MATLAB freezes. I have to kill the process and restart. MATLAB usually freezes after a few minutes of working.

This bug has been fixed for Release 14 (R14). For previous releases, please read below for any possible workarounds:
This is a bug in the way that the KDE 3.1.2 windows manager handles MATLAB. Our development staff is investigating this issue.
As a workaround, you can use Gnome in place of KDE. RedHat 9 ships with both window managers.
