At this point the download is complete and it is having a problem switching to the installer. You may close the download agent, but when it prompts you to clean up the files make sure to say no. Once it's closed navigate to your temp folder by going to your Windows Start Menu, selecting Run and then type the following command:
%temp%
Press enter and once a new windows opens look for mathworks_downloads folder. Open that folder and look for matlab_R20##_win##_installer.exe. Launch this file and you should be able to install from this point on.
NOTE to WINDOWS 8 users:
In order to get to %temp% folder you will need to either open a File Browser window and type %temp% in your URL bar, or you can go to your Windows Start/Tile screen and without navigating elsewhere simply type %temp% and press enter. Once you do this it will open a new File Browser window. Once you get this open follow the steps above.
