Why do I see poor transmitter data streaming performance with Support Package for Xilinx(R) FPGA-Based Radio or Support Package for USRP(R) Radio on Windows?

When using either of the Software Defined Radio support packages on Windows to stream transmit data, the maximum continuous streaming rate without underflow is only 3MSample/s (12MB/s) (instead of 12MSample/s (48MB/s) as on Linux).

This can be resolved by setting the Windows registry key FastSendDatagramThreshold to 1500.

To change this registry value:

1. Download the attached ZIP file.

2. Unzip the ZIP file and you should see a registry file: fastsenddatagramthreshold_registry_update.reg

2. Right click on the file and select merge (may require administrator privileges)
