GUIDE programatically expand popup menu

3 views (last 30 days)
I'd have a GUIDE popup menu that I'd like to open/close in response to someone typing in an edit box.
I can get the callback for the edit box, but how do I expand the popupmenu? i.e. show/hide the drop-down portion of it. Thanks...

I don't think it's possible. I think your only hope is to use a API/system call or some undocumented java feature. See Yair's site: http://undocumentedmatlab.com/

Thanks - after some digging through Yair's site and the JIDE Documentation, I'm using his findjobj from fileexchange and getting a handle to the JIDE popup itself:
jPopup = findjobj(findobj(gcbf,'Tag','popupmenu1'));
jPopup.hidePopup();
jPopup.showPopup();
Works great.
