Problem opening MATLAB r2011a on Macbook Pro

1 view (last 30 days)
I downloaded MATLAB about two months ago and it worked until last week. Now when I try to open it, I get an error saying, "MATAB cannot be opened because of a problem."
Under the above error message, the window also goes on to say "Check with the developer to make sure MATLAB works with this version of Mac OS X. You may need to reinstall the application. Be sure to install any available updates for the application and Mac OS X. This report will be sent to Apple automatically." How do I correct this problem?

Since you are using r2011a, take a look at the hardware requirements.
It may be that you have an unsupported OS version.
