sometimes i lost >> ,what should i do?

sometimes i usually lost the input command >> ,in a Command Window.
I tried to use "end;"
but it didn't work
So i have to restart Matlab. Is there anyway to instead of Restarting Matlab?

PS: It usually happens after i typed a wrong" )"(an Chinese bracket)instead of )

Use:
ctrl+c
Or on a Mac
cmd+.

Actually , on a Mac the same:Control+c,no need for CMD
