How can I restrict directory access from "Current Folder" pane?

Hello, I am currently running Matlab R2013a in a XenApp environment. My issue is that although in every other aspect, I have the C drive hidden and access to local folders and files are completely cut off using Group Policy, users can still browse the C drive in MATLAB by using the "Current Folder" pane. In addition, users can launch other programs while running MATLAB. I need a way to limit, or disable what users can access through MATLAB, but all the usual ways to lockdown the server do not seem to apply to the MATLAB "Current Folder" browsing. It bypasses the rules I have for windows explorer and is a security risk. Someone has to have tried using MATLAB with RemoteApp or XenApp in the past... how can this be dealt with?
