can I use VISA with a TI AFI with MSP430 microprocessor connected to a pulse oximeter to get raw data? or is there someother way?

I would like to get rawdata from the pulse oximeter into matlab in order to process the data. Is there a way to us VISA, or someother way to interface with a TI card in matlab? I have the source code of the card but I dont really know how to work with it and how to use it in matlab.
PLEASE someone help!!
