How can I perform a test installation of Matlab before performing licensed installations

I have never installed nor used Matlab before. I would like to test the installer, test the toolboxes, and check the functionality of Matlab before I perform "real" licensed installations on my staff's computers. I read about the "offline" installation of Matlab, but I have not seen anything to indicate that an offline installation would enable me to also install the toolboxes and then test its full functionality before registering one of the licenses.

Most software I've used comes with a demo mode that you can test for a limited period of time before you need to register a license. Does Matlab offer that functionality?

You can request a trial copy of MATLAB and any toolboxes you wish to investigate.

Go to the mathworks.com main page, and look in the lower-middle side at the left. Just above the line that divides top from bottom, there is a line "View all products or get trial software". Click on the "get trial software" link.
