Did you happen to scroll all the way down in the help to the bottom, where it gives a reference for the algorithm it uses:

In what way doesn't it work? The Mathworks says that the algorithm in that paper is the reference for their algorithm, so why do you say the reference doesn't work? I believe it does work because I can call adapthisteq() and it definitely works and produces an image. Explain in detail what "doesn't work" means to you.

Is there any possibility without using any inbuilt function like adapthisteq to enchance or increase the contrast the images?????????
