The internet installer didn't work so I downloaded all the files manually.
I put all the files in the installer folder "matlab_R2013a_student_maci64_installer" and then ran "InstallForMacOSX.app". After going through the "Install MathWorks Software" page, followed by the "License Agreement", I select "Typical" as my installation type and click next and I get a message saying:
"There are no products available to install from this location. You may need to download the appropriate products from our web-site (www.mathworks.co.uk)"
This is weird, as I did download all the files and put them in the pre-stated folder.
