"coder" function does not open any interface

Hi i'm currently working on a 32bits r2011b version of Matlab and the 'coder' function does not open any graphic interface as described in 'Accelerating MATLAB code with MATLAB Coder: a Quick start Guide (r2011b)'

1. Does executing
coder
return any warning/error messages?
2. Does the output of
ver
at the MATLAB prompt list MATLAB Coder? If not it may not be installed.
