matlab 2013b on maveriscks osx 10.9 no ethernet on makbook pro.Can't get a hostid!!!???

Hi I don't have an ethernet on my macbook pro (fried) so i cant get a hostid.tried the ifconfig and got the en0 mac address but the activation would complain again,tried 0 or en0 without the mac address but nothing works.Any ideas on a workout?
