Yeah, that's pretty bad form...I'd assumed it was a case of duplicate posting or finding the answer on own already or the like. Seemed like I'd seen a couple similar within a fairly short time frame at the time...

It turned out to be a mass deletion of his all questions like these people have done to theirs: Zeeshan, shani, xxx, yogesh, Johny, derek, vishant m, BAKRA thora, bob, Adrian, . (Luzalen), Heather, Jack, Dawid, Jeff, Josh Choe, Gay

Under normal circumstances, Questions (and accompanying Answers) are retained so as to potentially be of assistance to other people who encounter related difficulties.
If there is particular reason to remove a question, you can contact the MATLAB Central team at MathWorks Customer Service, or you can contact any of the active users who have reputation 3000 or higher (look on the contributors page). Or you can Flag the question and put the explanation for the requested removal there.
The only non-spam Questions that I have encountered that needed to be removed after a valid Answer was received, were Questions that dealt with topics that the forum could not discussed for legal reasons. Or a small number of times per year, I discover I Answered a duplicate Question, and I move my Answer to the original Question and close the duplicate.
There are also possibilities such as copyright reasons, but for those questions the copyrighted material is usually edited out instead of deleting the Question.
If you (or anyone) discovers a Question which contains personal attacks or inappropriate personal remarks about someone, then please flag it or otherwise bring it to the attention of the forum staff and volunteers. The material will be removed or the post deleted.

You can ask and give the URL and if any contributor with a reputation over 3000 agrees with you then they can delete it. Usually this means that no one else has commented or answered your question yet. If there has been a reply, probably no one will delete it, much to the displeasure of those who just paste homework questions and get full answers.
