Buttons on GUI not visible when running executable under Windows 7

Hello, I am using Matlab 2006a. I made some GUI's that are perfectly running in Matlab 2006a. When I use the compiler (v4.4) to make an executable, this also runs fine under Windows XP. But when I am running the executable under Windows 7, the buttons are not visible anymore. There is an option under control pannel to adjust the visual effects, so that the buttons become visible again. I am wondering though if there is a way to get it right when compiling from within Matlab, without having to change the Window 7 settings? Thank you
