Modeling Transfer functions with input

Hi community,

I have a system function, which is causal and LTI, defined as H(s) = (s + 1) / (s^2 + 2s + 1). If we input a signal x(t) for t = (-inf, inf) show the response y(t). I was wondering how we could model/plot something like this either using Simulink or maybe a built-in function.

I would just like to check my work against the output from Matlab. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated! If this can be done in simulink I would prefer that so I can start learning how to use it.
