How do I use the mesh and surf command when I'm given a Multidimensional data set?

I am given this 21x21x101 matrix that represents a time-space data cube that shows the displacement time history of a vibrating two-dimensional solid. I was asked to analyze it but i can't even begin to start on plotting the data itself. Any help is appreciated.
