Simulink adding blocks to new model

I am unable to drag and drop blocks using mouse from Simulink Library browser to a new model.

Steps tried - 1. Restarted Matlab several times - no success. 2. Minimized the 2 windows (Simulink Library window and untitled window) and then tried drag and drop - no success. 3. However, on right clicking the block and selecting add to untitled, it works, but no drag and drop functionality.

I find this strange as I have never faced this problem earlier. Everything else is working normal. Matlab version is 2011b.

Can I change some settings for solving this problem? Thanks.

Can you try the add_block command?

Not as a fix, but maybe it returns a useful error.

I have seen something similar where the reason was a broken mouse (one button was stuck which messed up the drag and drop). can you try another mouse?
