How to calculate the input signal power in a Model ?

hello,
I have to make simulation models using the AWGN channel and different modulation techniques and a raised cosine filter to calculate the BER of the system. How can i be able to check the power before the signal send to the awgn channel. So that I changed the parameter of the AWGN channel to get the BER.
