Does ga return solution not satisfying the constraints?

Hi,

I'm using ga to solve a Mixed Integer Quadratic Problem. I found that when the number of variable is relative large, eg., 18, ga returns solution which does not meeting the constraint. Since it works fine on smaller problems, with 5 or 6 variables, I wonder if it's normal to have those incorrect solutions when the problem set becomes large?
