Font in MATLAB 2013b editor looks non-uniform

I have recently installed MATLAB 2013b in my Windows 7 workstation, 32-bit Operating System. However, I realized the default font in 2013b looks less uniform as compared to 2010b. As 'less-uniform' is a very subjective term; I'm hereby attaching two snapshots.
Good old 2010b
New 2013b
I've checked all the font settings are identical; but still the editor screen in both versions appears different.
