how can i model the rib cage using two parabolas

i have an image of chest radiograph.can any one help in modelling the rib in image as two parallel parabolas.what is the matlab code for that?

There is no built in code for rib modeling. You're going to have to find the edge coordinates of the rib somehow, then use polyfit(). Or have the user just click on some points along it with ginput() and then use polyfit().
