How would you propose to get an IR or otherwise temperature-sensitive image from a "usual" digital camera?
My only idea of any hope would be if could paint the surface with a temperature-sensitive coating but the only ones of those I know of are irreversible in nature--once the temperature passes the indication temperature, the color changes and all you can do to get it back is repair the failure that caused the excursion and repaint the surface.
There may be some newer products, but I've no knowledge of them.
